Como você iniciou sua carreira no mercado musical?
Bom, honestamente eu não sei, já faz tanto tempo que comecei, que se tornou difícil contar tudo que já vivenciei.Eu comecei fazendo shows locais, e vendendo meus Demos, que chegaram a marca de 4,000 cópias. A única coisa que me lembro é que com 19 anos assinei meu primeiro contrato com um selo independente.

Aqui no Brasil, o cenário independente, está somente começando, como é isso nos EUA?
O cenário independente é muito grande aqui. Muitos artistas preferem se manter no mercado independente para ter a totalidade dos direitos autorais e criatividade. Eu recomendo todos artistas caminharem para o cenário independente. Você não precisa uma gravadora se você tiver uma boa música. Mas se a música não for boa, ai é outra história. Ahahhahahaha

Bem, as grandes gravadoras, continuam grandes gravadoras. Ferrando artistas que não sabem como e quando se defenderem. Pirataria está ok. Pra ser honesto, pirataria é saudável. Ahhahahah. Seus verdadeiros fãs, vão sempre comprar o CD. Pelo menos agora você pode dizer que todo mundo conhece o seu CD.

Como você classifica a sua música?
Hum, essa é uma pergunta difícil. Eu teria que dizer, que é como a sensação de começar a nadar, e mergulhar pensar que vai se afogar, e no momento que você volta, você sente aquele sentimento de alivio. Tipo Wowww, ainda estou vivo. Eu acho que é como eu poderia melhor descrever a minha música. Um alivio.

Eu tropecei em você, no myspace um tempão atrás, e acabamos fazendo uma música juntos, como foi essa experiência pra você?

Maravilhosa! Ótima! Significou muito pra mim. Foi a primeira vez que fiz uma música com uma cantora. Foi muito excitante. Eu aprendi muito desta experiência. Me lembro criando a música e você esquecendo a sua parte. Risos. Depois começamos de novo. As cantora que trabalho agora, eu uso essa experiência e formato!

Foi também uma grande experiência pra mim, e uma pena que a música não tenha caminhado, mas acredito que tudo acontece por uma razão, e no tempo certo, somente precisamos saber esperar, para ver tudo acontecendo. Então, preparamos uma surpresa para meus e teus fãs juntos, certo?

A while ago, I was on the net when I stumbled on a really talented guy, his name was Hona Costello. His myspace page was full of creative stuff, from the pictures to the music. It’s caught my attention and I decided to add him as a friend. A long distance, partnership began that day. I wan’t all my readers to meet the talented, Hona Costello!

How did you start in the music business?

Well. I honestly don’t know, I’ve been doing it for so long now its hard for me to keep count of the things I’ve done. I started doing local shows, and selling my demo’s by hand till I sold over 4,000 copies.The only thing i recall is when I was first signed to an independent label. I was around 19.

Here in Brazil the independent scene is just rising, how is that in the USA?

The independent scene is very big here. A lot of artists would rather go indie than main stream to keep their royalties and creativity. I recommend all artist to go indie. You dont need a label if you have a good music! But if your music isn’t good then thats another story ahahaha.

One of the reasons the independent scene is happening here, is the fact that most of the majors are having to adapt to the new market, since piracy is a huge problem here. How are all the majors doing in the USA, in your view?

Well.. The Majors are major as usual. Screwing artist who don’t know the what and when to defend themselves. Piracy is ok. To be honest I think piracy is healthy hahaha. Your real fans will always go out and buy your album. The fake will jus play it cause they think its cool. People that wouldn’t have bought the cd in the first place. At least now you can say everyone knows your cd

How do you label your music?

Um. Thats a tough question. I would have to say. It’s the feeling when you first started swimming and you go underwater thinking you’re going to drown. The moment you come back up. You feel a sense of relief. Like WOW im still alive. I think that best describes my music. A relief.

I stumbled upon you, on myspace quite a while ago, and we ended up hitting a little song together, how was that experience for you?

Awesome! Great! It ment a lot to me. It was my first time doing a song with singer. So it was excited. I’ve learned so much from that. I remember creating the song and you forgetting your part lol. Then we started over. The singers I do music with now I use that experience and format to write most of my songs now.

It was also a great experience for me, and it was a shame that it never got anywhere, but I believe that everything happens for a reason, and on the right time, we just need to wait, to see it happening! So we prepared a little treat for all my fans, and your fans together, right?
